I find it hilarious that even though the media has no ammunition to fire at Sarah Palin, they refuse to stop trying to make her look bad. Look, you can disagree with her on some issues, thats fine, but this narrative that she is some stupid Alaskan hick who hang at the big boys table is complete bull.

The mainstream media has all but removed the mask at this point, its unapologetically far left liberal. Its okay to see what they are saying....i do every day, but you must understand that much of their "hard news" is tainted by far left ideology and a hatred for all things different from them. The country is being ruined by a group of people who have designs on controlling us. New laws on your checking account, McDonalds, your health insurance, food, gasoline, and electricity, are slowly making the federal government all powerful.

They are not even being that sneaky about it anymore. Many of these leftist wackos are now advocating violence to force their causes down your throat.

They realize their window of opportunity is closing. The last election was the first step in kicking their government worshipping buttocks out of power, but there is much work left to do. We still have an incompetent President who is increasingly making GW Bush look more and more like a genius. We still have a Senate controlled by disgusting human being like Harry Reid.

Bottom line. We have this window.....the time between December 2010 and November 2012 to save our generation. Another round of throwing garbage out of office (and that includes many Republicans)...and we may just turn the tide back towards freedom.

A last ditch effort by Republicans to stop this despicable power grab was defeated by Democrats in the Senate. Its a disgustingly quiet attack on what little freedom we have left in America. Now you are a taxable entity, meaning at some point the government could tax you according to your weight, consumption, or even amount you exhale. Its pure evil from those who believe the government needs to control every aspect of your, one of the lowly peons, life.

The justification?

Air is a danger to your health. Its a logical place to go when you let liberals scare you into allowing them to create 2nd hand smoke laws that do nothing but steal freedom. Some tangible graphic evidence that the government does nothing but hurt the economy when it tries to "fix" it by spending money. Taking your money and spending it instead of letting you spend it is really quite stupid. First, half the money is wasted and/or lost through corruption, second, its kind of insulting being told you are too stupid to spread the cheddar yourself. What? It takes a Harvard degree to shop at the mall.

When the government spends billions of dollars to "help" some lobbied for sector of business, it make stave off the pain for a short while, but it will always be worse in the end. Kind of like a cavity, you can cover the pain with sweet pills for a bit, but really all you are doing is letting that nubber rot until it cant be saved.. A little pain early on, or you end up with an economy like ours and a mouth like the children of Deliverance.

Money grows the economy when it is earned and spent by schmoes like us. Anytime the government gets involved bad things happen....sometimes in the short term, always in the long term.

Alright...i know...i know....boring. What is all this economy stuff...its Friday, yo. I know its not fun reading but so important to the future prosperity of our nation...and more importantly to you....(ie XBoxes, PS3s, boomin' systems, sweet rims, FUBU shirts, iphones, ipads, ipods, icoolstuff galore).

The quicker we get rid of the people who think "cash for clunkers" smelled like all kinds of genius, (Democrats, liberals, the Obama administration), the quicker we will all have more money.

As the summer heat creeps in, our "cool" President continues to handle the nation's mounting problems with that precious, deer in the headlights, stare. I truly think Obama figured if Bush could do the job, he could do it in his sleep. Typical mix of extreme arrogance and ignorant condescension from our first unicorn riding, rainbow farting, President, i suppose. It will not get better until control of the country is back in the hands of the competent.

Paul McCartney needs to just shut up and sing, by the way. He is a legend and i would rather remember him that way. It seems like he is trying to spend his last years on Earth solidifying ass hat status, though. Stay out of politics bud, it makes you look more clueless than Yoko Ono holding a fishing pole.

One last Obama gem....

The guy who has done nothing but power drill the economic hole we are in 5 times deeper has the nerve to point fingers at the powerless GOP again today. His party runs Congress, he ignores Republicans when they do offer ideas, and he has the nerve blame the other guy. In the really real world, Obama would probably get fired for being an incompetent, arrogant, loudmouth, who doesnt do his job, but blames the guy in the next cubicle when he is called out for it. All while breaking the biggest promise he made to get the job.....you know, "...no one making under $250,000 will have their taxes raised...".

Charles Djou has won a special election in dark blue Hawaii for a seat in the House of Representatives. I like to think it was my $25 that put him over the top but whatever, he gets most of the credit.

Sure, he only got 39% of the vote and only won because the other two candidates split the Democratic vote and sure he has to run again in 6 months but a win is a win and we will take any we can get these days.

The oil spill still rages....Obama plays golf and rolls around in all that campaign money from BP....A foreign leader comes to America and bashes us....Obama stands next to him and nods while showing complete ignorance (read the bill jackass) and zero leadership....did i mention he took the side of ANOTHER FRIGGIN COUNTRY against an American STATE. Dont even get me started about foreign affairs.....North Korea blows up a South Korean ship--- did you even know about that? Probably not because Obama lacks the backbone to do anything but make a stern sounding telepromptered comment and the media hasnt even made a half hearted attempt at its job since Januaryish 2009.

I only mention it because this week would be enough to ruin a Republican President. As a guy who was never into the "metal" of the 70's and 80's, i wasnt the owner of any music in which Ronnie James Dio's classic vocals were featured. This did not prevent me from appreciating the legend that he was, in the music world. His had a voice that could overshadow the loudest guitars. It was the standard of the genre and few could compare.

It is a sad day in the rock world as we have lost this icon to cancer. I may not have been a fan in the strictest sense of the word but it was impossible for any musician not to understand his impact and his place among rock royalty.

Childen who were expecting a new £70,000 playground complete with swings and
slides have been left "devastated" after the council gave them a pile of
concrete blocks instead.

The "minimalist" design at Diamond Hall Pocket Park includes a variety of
rectangular grey concrete blocks, described by Sunderland Council as "play

Parents had been expecting a traditional playground after they had been sent a

This is the left wing media's fault with an assist from a public school education, IMHO. You then apply the typical public school teacher's liberal agenda and you get a horribly misled child who thinks she is doing the right thing by breaking the law.

The "Obama's Katrina" narrative

The oil rig explosion and resulting spill has been in the news for over a week. It seemed to be a manageable accident with no cause for alarm, initially, but the clean up has become a debacle. Oil now washes upon the shores of gulf coast states while SWAT teams are dispatched by the federal government for....well actually.....what in the turds would they need SWAT teams for?

Anyway, the slow intervention of the Obama administration has become a growing narrative. Even the Obama worshiping NY Times has called the President to task for allowing the situation to snowball out of control.

Some are calling it Obama's Katrina moment. Comparing the reaction of this White House, or lack there of, to the actions taken by the Bush Administration after Hurricane Katrina.

Did Obama fiddle while the Gulf burned or is it just a right wing fantasy that Obama get tarnished by the same unforgiving press coverage that undermined Bush's second term? Of course there are loyalists who see the comparison as laughable., but what do i think, you ask?

I tend to agree with the Obama zombies that the President should not be blamed for any difficulties in the aftermath of the rig explosion but for much different reasons.

The federal government should not get involved with anything unless all other options have been used and failed. They are supposed to be a last resort for when a situation becomes unmanageable.....like now. Federal resources should not be dispatched at the first sign of trouble....anywhere....anytime. I dont blame Bush for things that went wrong after Katrina, and i dont blame Obama for not getting involved in this situation until it was clear the resources were needed.

I actually think its unfair to refer to Katrina in this instance. Trying to use the negative associations of a disaster for political gain seem like a cheap shot and desperate. With all the horrible decisions Obama has made and all the indefensible actions he has taken there is no need to invent a controversy in an attempt to impact his image.

Hopefully they will quickly get the situation in the Gulf under control and it will fade away as a story. There are much more important issues that require our attention. Congress is trying to push through as much radical left wing legislation as possible before their inevitable demise in November and we need to be shining the disinfectant of sunlight on as much as possible.

As for "drill, baby, drill"-- This awful accident should have absolutely no impact on our future drilling of oil. If we dont drill for our own oil some other, probably less environmentally conscious nation, will. Then turn around and sell it to us, sending one potential Exxon Valdez after another to our shores. Oil spills are a tragedy but inevitable while the world is relying on petroleum to fuel its engines. Our technology for cleaning up accidents gets more effective every year. Besides, oil leaks into the oceans naturally all the time....it is not something the Earth isnt designed to handle in some capacity. Its an unfortunate by product of prosperity....you can always live in a mud hut and ride your bike everywhere, clean your clothes in the river, and poop in the woods while hunting for your food.

I doubt even liberals are that interested in preventing oil spills.

If Charlie Crist announces an independent bid for the US Senate today as widely expected, can anyone doubt that this will be one of the most effective political ads of the year? Marco Rubio speaks volumes by letting Crist do all the talking:

We’ve played this before, as have many bloggers and media outlets, but blanketing Florida airwaves with this ad (or a shorter version of it) will force Crist to ask a very uncomfortable question — what changed since March 28th? Neither he nor Rubio have made any policy changes during that period of time. The national GOP hasn’t changed its position regarding the race; the NRSC still has its endorsement of Crist in place. That actually makes Crist the establishment Republican candidate, at least until 5 pm ET today.

The only answer that will make sense to Florida voters is that Crist can’t get elected as a Republican in 2010.

It’s pure self-interest, arguably accompanied by an impulse for self-destruction.

Ive heard the argument from liberals that conservatives and/or religious folks "push" their views on people by wanting a Christmas tree in the town square.....or by wanting the 10 commandments above a courthouse. Well, what do you call this.....

Liberals not only push their beliefs on you, they make it illegal not to follow their tyrannical mindset.

Recycling is not nearly as environmentally helpful as they want you to believe. All the extra trucks, containers, bags, driving, recycling plants, recycling chemicals, by products, and energy needed to recycle nullifies any positive impact with most materials. Its purely a religious experience for liberals who allow their emotional needs to crush any logical thinking.

But fine, so you want to recycle some stoof....but forcing citizens to become garbage sorters and bin engineers under penalty of law is not only ridiculous, its government power run amok. I imagine its possible to be sent to jail, (if ones recycling fines arent paid promptly), on a charge of insufficient garbage classification. What happens if you put the wrong garbage in the wrong bin....will you be fined for improper garbage categorization?

Socialism is destroying Great Britain and this is what the government is doing with their collective brain power.....the whole thing amounts to rearranging deck chairs on the Titanic. (Great analogy by Richard Fernandez)

Also, the left has picked up on this "papers" talking point, showing a policemen proof you are a citizen after being stopped for speeding is not the same as Gestapo coming up to you at the ice cream stand and asking you if youre Jewish. Obama seems to be trying to trivialize the idea of an illegal immigrant getting ice cream in one sentence and demanding punishment for their actions in the next.

Its a garbled mess of mixed ideas and confusing messages that comes from someone just trying to say what the audience, (or country) wants to hear.

If he spent 10 minutes online he could have discovered that most of what he said was wrong, but thats our Obama.....speak first and learn later.

After fudging the numbers in order to make the price tag seem horrible instead of devastating, they admit it was all a ruse.

It was obvious to those of us who studied the bill, but that leaves out most of Congress, so here we go--- another skyrocketing government program expenditure that does nothing but make our lives worse.

On Wednesday, Kathleen Sebelius appeared before the House Appropriations Committee to discuss the appropriations for high-risk pool subsidies that ObamaCare provides to the states. The bill appropriated $5 billion for this program, but as Sebelius tells the committee, that was just a spit-balling number. In reality, no one has the faintest clue how much money will actually get spent on this program, via Breitbart TV and Naked Emperor News:

The crisis has been created by uncontrolled government spending not lack of your tax dollars. This VAT is equivalent to another income tax piled on your already meager pay check.

The VAT tax rate will start small and go up like every other tax and whats worse, even after all the talk of our country's debt and America's possible bankruptcy, the money will be spent on pet programs and pork, just like every other revenue stream the Congress has gotten its grimy hands on.

This is our chance to finally tell the cash addicted monster that is the federal government "NO!". It would be like giving a drug addict a key to the heroin room after he emptied the cocaine room and complained he had no drugs.

Earlier this week President Clinton lectured the tea party people about violence and civility.
The former president has a lot of nerve. During the Waco Disaster, President Clinton approved of gassing children with CS tear-gas for 48 hours.

Aussie Cookbook Recalled After Recipe Includes 'Freshly Ground Black People'

It is a tiny misprint, but an Australian publisher had to pulp a cookbook after one recipe called for "salt and freshly ground black people" to be added to the dish, AFP reported Saturday.

Penguin Group Australia pulped and reprinted about 7,000 copies of "Pasta Bible" after the typographical error was found in the ingredients for spelt tagliatelle with sardines and prosciutto, The Sydney Morning Herald reported.

Penguin said almost every one of the more than 150 recipes in the book called for salt and freshly ground black pepper but a misprint occurred on just one page, probably as a result of a computer's spellchecker program.

He said it would be extremely hard to recall the stock but if anyone complained about the "silly mistake" they would be given the new version.

Considering Sustein’s recommendations, it is not far removed to speculate the Obama administration is behind a new anti-tea party website called The Other 95, which defends the government from tea party criticisms and attacks the tea party movement as fringe.
