When did Britain decide to completely give up?

I dont even know how to classify this idiocy.

Id love the meet the waste of space that said "you know what....a playground with only concrete blocks sounds like genius"....what else is this person in charge of, i wonder.

Its one thing to forget the sliding board, but to put lots of hard surfaces in which kids can hurt themselves is the opposite of a playground on my planet.

Great Britain seems to disappoint those of us with working brains, daily, but this one has me questioning their ability to survive Darwin. Depending how quickly humans evolve, The British may stupid themselves right out of existence by the end of the century.

Just in case you were worried, they did install cameras to what the little kids stand on the concrete blocks. Big brother is watching your boredom.

Council's £70,000 playground is 'a pile of concrete blocks'

Childen who were expecting a new £70,000 playground complete with swings and
slides have been left "devastated" after the council gave them a pile of
concrete blocks instead.

Council's £70,000 playground is 'a pile of concrete blocks'

The "minimalist" design at Diamond Hall Pocket Park includes a variety of
rectangular grey concrete blocks, described by Sunderland Council as "play
features".

Parents had been expecting a traditional playground after they had been sent a
leaflet on the plans which showed images of a climbing frame and swings.

Instead they have been left with the task of telling their children how best
to play on the new blocks.

The park, in Millfield, has been given a makeover with money from a
£2.5million Play Pathfinder grant awarded to Wearside.

“This design also includes a CCTV camera being installed to help maintain a safe
and secure playing environment.”

You mean Obamacare even screws Congress

You know a piece of legislation is bad when even the NY Times is in awe of its horriblenessocity.

Way to go Congress.....you are now as worthless as the French Army.

NYT Gobsmacked that ObamaCare Screws Over Congress

Some in the media are a little slow in figuring out the copious problems buried in ObamaCare. Apparently, so are most of the lawmakers who voted for it.

In a new report, the Congressional Research Service says the law may have significant unintended consequences for the "personal health insurance coverage" of senators, representatives and their staff members.
For example, it says, the law may "remove members of Congress and Congressional staff" from their current coverage, in the Federal Employees Health Benefits Program, before any alternatives are available.

The OMG line from this article:

The confusion raises the inevitable question: If they did not know exactly what they were doing to themselves, did lawmakers who wrote and passed the bill fully grasp the details of how it would influence the lives of other Americans?

Government run health care nightmare # 3826

The government has a horrible record running health care in every other country on Earth.... why people want to give them this kind of power and control here is beyond all logic.

This kind of horrific mistake will soon be commonplace in America.

Organs 'removed for transplant without consent'

Organs may have been removed from deceased people without their consent after a data-handling error by the NHS.

The blunder meant 800,000 people on the UK donor register may have had their wishes about the use of organs for transplant wrongly recorded.

The Sunday Telegraph reported that 45 of them have now died - and 20 families let organs of relatives be taken based on incorrectly stored information.

But the details of many donors' preferences were accidentally deleted in 1999.

Joyce Robins of pressure group Patient Concern told the Sunday Telegraph: "This government has got an absolutely dreadful record when it comes to data, but it is horrific that such sensitive details were handled in such a careless way."

Obama's first pitch: worse than last year?

I know this is goofy to criticize and it doesnt mean much really but it seriously bothers me that our youngish President can not throw a baseball.

His attempt to throw out the first pitch at the Nationals opening day game was painful to watch. Id say it was probably worse than last year's mom jeans appearance.

If it was me, there is no way i would go out in front of tens of thousands of my constituents and embarrass myself. I'll give Obama credit for guts or at least the obliviousness to not be ashamed to show his face afterward.

Via Gateway Pundit

Why not start practicing now for next year?

Good Grief!… That pitch would make any 9 year-old girl blush.

Obama was booed loudly at the Nationals Game today in Washington DC, a city where he collected over 90% of the vote in 2008. To top it off, he threw an arcing sissy pitch that barely made it to home plate. It’s a good thing that catcher can jump.

You’ve got to love the MSNBC host asking after the disastrous arcing lob ball, “How do we all think he did, guys?”

At least he left the mom jeans at home today.

The MSNBC hosts came to his defense in this clip, insisting that Bush was probably booed more:

Yep. Another nightmare.

Unbelievable.

Socialized medicine will destroy your testicle.

Thats my new bumper sticker.

Docs removed wrong testicle

A PATIENT was left infertile after doctors operating on his testicle removed
the wrong one.

The bungling medics' mistake has prompted an urgent overhaul of
procedures at West Suffolk Hospital in Bury St Edmunds.

Details of the error surfaced this week after the hospital was forced to
confess all thanks to freedom of information laws.

Care at the hospital had previously been rated "good" by the Care Quality
Commission.

‘The NHS let down Jade’

JADE Goody died after being let down by "incompetent and negligent" NHS staff,
her doctor has claimed.

Dr Ann Coxon slammed medics who allegedly examined Jade when her tumour was
the size of a TANGERINE - but missed it.

They did not realise her symptoms - which Dr Coxon said were "glaringly
obvious" - pointed to cervical cancer.

And NHS staff also failed to find out why Jade was not turning up for the
cervical smear tests which would have revealed the killer tumour.

"Jade's death was completely unnecessary and preventable. She died of
neglect and of incompetence."

Dr Coxon said: "An ultrasound should be able to pick up lesions just 1.2mm
wide, and Jade had a tumour the size of a tangerine. It should have been
blindingly obvious.

"She need not have died if the medical profession had got their act together
in time."
