This guy rules

This video is all over the place today, with good reason. For every guy who has rocked the air drums check out the real deal. I know the band isnt the coolest ever, but a gig is a gig and you gotta pay the rent. Whatever he does next (his name is Steve Moore, website HERE) Ill be curious to watch him do it. The entertainment factor is off the charts.....

The end of the Dutch oven?

I knew they would use that space age technology for something worthwhile someday.

How long until every girlfriend buys their man one as a "joke"?

Music sweet music

As a working musician who never made it as a real rock star with his own songs i sometimes lay awake at night and wonder why. Now i know. I never picked the right 4 chords.

This video explains it all. Its pretty clever really.....and telling.

Obama's first pitch: worse than last year?

I know this is goofy to criticize and it doesnt mean much really but it seriously bothers me that our youngish President can not throw a baseball.

His attempt to throw out the first pitch at the Nationals opening day game was painful to watch. Id say it was probably worse than last year's mom jeans appearance.

If it was me, there is no way i would go out in front of tens of thousands of my constituents and embarrass myself. I'll give Obama credit for guts or at least the obliviousness to not be ashamed to show his face afterward.

Via Gateway Pundit

Why not start practicing now for next year?

Good Grief!… That pitch would make any 9 year-old girl blush.

Obama was booed loudly at the Nationals Game today in Washington DC, a city where he collected over 90% of the vote in 2008. To top it off, he threw an arcing sissy pitch that barely made it to home plate. It’s a good thing that catcher can jump.

You’ve got to love the MSNBC host asking after the disastrous arcing lob ball, “How do we all think he did, guys?”

At least he left the mom jeans at home today.

The MSNBC hosts came to his defense in this clip, insisting that Bush was probably booed more:

Thats what im talkin' about.

I may just have to lift my personal boycott of KFC. They just went national with a sandwich so incredible it may be worth the early death you are likely to experience for eating it.

This news is so awesomely bad/good it almost makes up for those soggy Bowls of Sadness on the KFC menu. Yesterday KFC announced they were ready to go nationwide on April 12 with the Double Down, a near-mythical sandwich that uses two slabs of fried chicken instead of bread. Of course, yesterday was April Fool’s Day, and the whole concept sounded too ridiculous to believe. So today King Chicken was forced to say yes, we’re serious, and repeat the announcement. The Double Down consists of the aforementioned two chunks of chicken, and nestled between them are several strips of bacon, some melted cheese, and something called “the Colonel’s secret sauce” (the less you know about this, the better). It clocks in at 540 calories, 32g of fat and 1380mg of sodium. Unless you’re some kind of hippie-vegan health nut and order the grilled version, with 460 calories, 23g of fat and 1430mg of sodium.

Video games rock....no really...

Over at Ace of Spades i found what could be the coolest thing done by a dude on weed in years.

Dark Side of the Moon by Pink Floyd arranged for the 8 bit Nintendo classic system. The whole album is on youtube and if you are a fan, it worth checking out. I was never a big Floyd fan but im still quite impressed. Here is a sample.

Here is the link for "Money" one of the better known songs off the album.....you can find the rest of the songs there too, i believe.

Just proof that Americans can do anything they put their mind to if they are given freedom......and maybe a little doobage.

Methaphor of the Day

Two children sit the back of a car. Libby and Connie.

Libby pinches Connie so Connie calmly tells their Mother (named Media) of this and Mother dismisses it. Libby then pokes Connie. Again, Connie calmly notifies her Mother and is told to quiet down. Libby now starts to get bold, she pinches Libby again, this time followed by calling her a stupid face. Now Connie starts to get upset, she urges her Mother to force Libby to stop, but Mother tells Connie to stop being a tattletale.

Libby is further emboldened. Now she pokes, pinches, hits and calls Connie a name she learned from watching network TV. Mother finally reacts by asking what Connie did to inspire such anger from Libby. Connie claims nothing but Mother doesnt believe her. She then comforts Libby and tells her to not allow Connie bother her. Libby smiles as she realizes that there are no consequences to any of her actions. She unleashes pinches, smacks, pokes, names, hair pulling, and even a bite on Connie.

Connie had enough. She screams for Libby to stop, sticking a finger in her face as she threatens to defend herself if Libby raises another hand towards her. All the sudden the car screeches to a halt.

Mother gets out and comes to the back seat. Thinking she will finally be defended Connie breathes a sigh of relief as the door opens.

Wrong.

Mother tears into Connie calling her an instigator and a troublemaker. Asking accusing questions and demanding her to behave. Mother denounces Connie's threats of violence and is told she will be punished when they return home. Finally, Mother asks Connie what must be wrong inside her head to behave in such a way. As she turns to go back to the front seat she asks Libby if she is okay and offers her the reward of sitting in the front seat in order to "protect" her from Connie.

Connie can only sit aghast and what kind of world she lives in.

So do I.

Lean on it, baby

This is so much awesomeness i think i just peed myself a little.

Its a "Honk to stop Obamacare" rally.

America is 85% together on this one, i dont care what their manufactured poll numbers say. In fact, those that are truly informed are 95% together. Only the insane and the communists would support whats in the Obamacare bill.

Back to Cheesy Poofs?

I havent watched South Park in quite a while but i might have to check it out for the season 14 opener on Wednesday. A Tiger Woods episode just has so much potential i have to see where they take it. It will be a good test as to whether the show has any life left in it. Just a heads up for those interested.

More Tron awesomeness

This will be my last Tron post (for a while, at least), i promise, but being the Disney World fanboy that i am this just makes me giggle with glee...

The monorail dressed up to be light cycle trail?? How sweet is that.

I know many of you youngsters arent familiar with Tron, my girlfriend Kate just gave me that..."youre old" look when i told her about it being a vital piece of 80's pop culture. Its timeless though, and should be experienced before the long awaited sequel comes out in December.

The Disney website has extra goodies to get you excited.

Tron is BACK!

Just caught this online.....

Can not wait.

Galactica lives

Here is some Battlestar Galatica news for anyone still mourning the loss of the series. Looks like there is an online game in the works. Its going to be an MMO, which means it will be a World of Warcraft type game. I would rather it be a straight platform game released to my PS3 but it still will be worth checking out.

If you are interesting you can sign up at the game's launch page for updates.

Symphony of Science

Once in a while you stumble across something so unexpected and interesting on the internet you just have to show someone. Well, you are my someone.

There is a website called Symphony of Science. You may think its ridiculous but i think its kind of cool. It is a musical project headed by John Boswell designed to deliver scientific knowledge and philosophy in musical form.

They use that funky autotune computer gimmick that makes a sung note sound in tune. You know, the trick they use to make Britney Spears and her wanna be rock star copies sound like they can sing. Well, here it is used to make normal speaking melodic.

Yeah, its a little dorky but thats me. I bet if youre on the weed you could watch it for hours....

Here is the latest video.
