Alright, im going through the transcript from last nights Presidential debate and all i can say is.....
Obama has no conscience. The man lied right to our faces in so many blatant, offensive ways im having trouble finding an exchange that didnt contain at least one dishonest claim from the President.
Their exchange on oil company leases on public lands is a good example. Mitt Romney stated correct fact after correct fact while Obama stood there and said "thats not true". Then Obama went on and spewed some irrelevant talking points, and when questioned by Romney, went on to lie about what we just saw for the last 4 years.
Also, Obama's statement that the only reason gasoline was under $2/gallon, 4 years ago, was because of the recession, is so moronic, ignorant, and dishonest, it made me want to scream. You realize, that would mean that if the economy improves, gas prices would double again to about $8/gallon....just plain stupid.
After reading the debate, its clear that Romney won. Now if you are an idiot that thinks that Obama told some semblance of truth last night, you might call it a draw, but anyone who says Obama won, went into it with that decided before hand. I can not find one good policy point made by the President. He had a few class warfare "zingers" but nothing that would earn a vote from an undecided voter. (How could you still be undecided, though.....seriously?)
Other issues....
The questions SUCK-ED. That were 4th grade slop that played to the lowest of low information voters who rely on emotion rather than facts. Most played to Obama's strengths, come on, there was a question to Romney about him being like Bush.
The moderator was a disgrace. She interrupted Romney every time he was scoring blows to Obamas tender regions, the she turned the whole debate upside down when she KILLED Romney's momentum by cutting him off to defend Obama.....and she was absolutely wrong. Obama lied, the moderator defended the lie, and the momentum instantly went to Obama. It was nice of her to admit it afterwards on CNN but about 1/198738th the people were watching....
It was sickening to watch another debate in which the moderator was decidedly NOT neutral. Lets face it the Republican party is incompetent as a political machine. They let this format and this moderator happen....and they let something like it happen every 4 years. Im tired of it....Democrats play to win, Republicans play to be liked by Democrats.....not all GOPers of course, just the Washington insider types that run these sorts of things...
Anyway, one more debate...on foreign policy....does it matter? Who doesnt know this President is a disaster? A smaller and smaller number of drones who will never vote anything but Democrat....
Lets just get to the voting and get this nightmare/moment of utter joy, over with.....i wont sleep well until i know Obama is looking for a mover....that better not be 4 years away or i will get VERY cranky.

Hmmmmm....
Well...the VP debate....happened.
Biden smirked, interrupted, and lied like i thought he might. Paul Ryan was definitely fighting against the moderator as much as the VP but he held his own and looked classy doing it.
The moderator was HORRIBLE. The questions were disgraceful. The GOP deserves a punch in the face for agreeing to let her in the building let alone moderate. She interrupted Ryan and argued for Biden at times, and never had control of what was going on.
Paul Ryan had every thing against him tonight and he did fine....yeah, fine....i know, not as exciting as last Wednesday, but thats all we needed from him. He ended very strong, but got pulled into the mud of Biden's constant idiocy and never found his rhythm.
If you are an Obama voter you probably liked Biden's moronic behavior, weird mugging for the camera, and heavy breathing, but then again you are an Obama voter. It was creepy and ugly....but after last week, the drones will take anything that isnt a resounding defeat.
On to next week's Romney vs Obama II.
One last thing for tonight. I want you to read a story. The end result of the policies that Barack Obama and Joe Biden are putting in place is poverty, and maybe worse even, is the breaking down of our will to be.....be better, be smarter, be richer, be happier, be individuals, be ourselves, be...alive....
When the government claims you have a "right" to other people's stuff, they just mean it has a right to your stuff....and you have a right to only what the government gives you....which ends up being....a small brown bowl...which you must return.....read the story....you'll understand....

I have had a thousand thoughts about tonight's debate between Paul Ryan and Vice President Joe Biden. On paper the match up screams Ryan wins, but Joe Biden has been in politics almost as long as Ryan has been alive, and the VP has been known to go to a bag of ugly, dirty tricks when need be.
Biden famously destroyed good men in Senate confirmation hearings just for petty partisan points and the camera. The story of Judge Bill Clark is an example of how low Joe is willing to go. Now, with his campaign backed against a wall, what wouldnt he do in order to make Ryan look bad?
I found myself on the Ace of Spades blog expressing my anxiety about tonight.
My expectations are flying around the room like a spooked parakeet. I almost dont want to watch the debate, but i will, with one hand over my eyes like its a horror movie....
Hopefully it is one....another one.....like last Wednesday.

After completing the post, i thought it would make sense share it here.It will be hard for Ryan to "win" his debate with Joe Biden for one reason. Biden makes stuff up. Its hard to refute imaginary data and without a conscience to stop himself, Crazy Joe is capable of saying anything.After his debate with Sarah Palin, half of what he had said was found to be completely false, but during the debate it was difficult to call him on it.SO- in the heat of battle, he could make Ryan look flustered or inexperienced by throwing random made up information at him and no matter how much fact checking is done afterwards, it wont change the perception of how the things went during the debate.Biden is a wild card....anything could happen tonight.Then again, and no offense to Palin, but if she could hang with Biden, Ryan should have no problems tearing him a new butt hole.Ryan showed he can hang with the big boys at that health care forum with the President.My brain says Paul Ryan in a rout, my gut says be wary of Biden.....

How the pros do it
My blathering is very amateur and i admit that, but that doesnt mean i cant hit the nail on the head here and there.
I made the point that Obama got trounced in the debate because he had never had to face a serious opponent and the media never held him to any standard. It seems im not alone in that thinking. The Wall Street Journal has an excellent article expanding on my thoughts, but written by a pro.
I urge you to read it. If i knew how to write, its exactly how i would have done it.
The article went perfectly with my morning cup o' joe.

Keepin' the Mo'
Now that the debate score is officially in the books as straight up KO for Mitt Romney, the internet is having its fun. I cant say im not enjoying it.
I know its just one debate, i know the election is far from over, but you know what, im going to enjoy this moment of campaign zen as long as possible.
It helps that Obama is out there today saying dumber stuff than last night....seriously, you can tell he is FUMING under that ugly smirk. Today's Obama big campaign line...."who was that guy last night...it sure wasnt Mitt Romney...HAR HAR HAR" Yep, genius.
You know why Obama spends so much time attacking Mitt Romney's character, because he has NOTHING else. Every policy argument he has made is a lie and I can prove it, and when i say "I" i mean we and when i say "we", i mean the smart people at Investor's Business Daily.
Meanwhile, Democratic policies are causing gas shortages in California, those are the same policies Obama wants to bring to the rest of the country, by the way.
Lets see what our Asian corespondent have to say on the debate....
The quote of the day goes to a refreshingly honest....dumb as a bag of potato hammers...but at least this one time, honest...Joe Biden.

Homecoming weekend starts tomorrow here at Penn State. Wish me luck.

Fact Checking the debate
Now that ive gloated a bit, ill get into the details....
It seems that Barack Obama doesnt understand his own healthcare law.....its not that i blame him, no one does, but if you are going to attempt to defend it, you should prolly use legal examples.
Last night Obama sited the Cleveland Clinic as a model for a successful hospital in Obamacare....the problem, its illegal under the new health care law.
So typical of liberal policy. Write a giant, government empowering, monstrosity of a law without knowing the unintended consequences. It does much more damage than good,....then, say you need another law to fix it....lather, rinse, repeat.
There you have it, President Obama's chosen example of success is now illegal because of his law.
That makes sense.

1979 turns to 1980....if we let it
The last few months have had the eerie aroma of the late 70's. Out of control gasoline and energy prices, embassy attacks in the Middle East, stagnant economy, American weakness, just an overall pessimism hanging like a dark cloud over the country. Is it a coincidence that both times we were under the rule of a far left wing President who was elected on personality and a backlash against the GOP?
Anyhoo, last night we saw 1980 standing at the door and begging to come in.
Mitt Romney beat Barack Obama like a rented mule in the debate yesterday. Democrats and left wing pundits are throwing every excuse possible at the wall, hoping something lessens the sting. Even nutjobs like Michael Moore and Bill Maher admit it was a brutal defeat for Barack Obama.
Romney won because he espoused conservative ideas. He did it with passion, full command of the facts, and an obvious confidence that comes with a belief in what you are saying. Obama was the complete opposite. He seemed to not know what to say, not because he had crickets chirping in his head but because he is fully aware that his true beliefs are unacceptable to the American voter. When the President speaks from his heart we get the angry divisive language seen in that video released on Tuesday.
Also, Barack Obama is famously thin skinned and quick to run from opposing ideas so he has surrounded himself with "yes" men. You add the sycophantic press and this is a man who hasnt had to seriously defend a thought in 4 years....really, much longer. Last night must have been like the first time you get punched in the face....
Its like..."BLAM"....what a minute....ow....that sucked....um....yeah,that was the worst thing ever....(at least until you get a kidney stone, just fyi)
Its a shock to the system and your reaction is left to instincts. Obama's instincts are to run from confrontation so he was left uncomfortable and taken aback by the challenge. Not the instincts i want in a President.
Have you seen any video of the best moments yet? Its hard to choose a fav, but i like this one because it sums up Barack Obamas entire political existence.....

So, we got a glimpse of our possible future....a Reaganesque, 1980 future....will we choose it or will we continue this downward spiral deeper into 1979. The debate made it clear who can turn this country around and it aint the current President....will we let Mitt Romney do what he does best?

Anyway, just wanted to welcome everyone to debate week. Wednesday night we get to see if Romney has the heart and big brass ones to take it to the President. Romney could end the election with a slam dunk performance....
Remember, if the media says it was a draw, Romney won, if the media says Romney won, Obama got slaughtered.....anything else is unacceptable and will not be considered.
This is what we are dealing with...
Now go out and crush your Monday.
