The truth begins

Now that Obamacare is passed, we have seen a slow leak of information completely in opposition to everything the Democrats claimed while pushing the bill. Things they knew were true but lied about. Since the bill is now law, they have to let the facts come out or risk looking even more out of touch and dishonest.

For today's example we turn to Kathleen Sebelius, a member of Obama's own cabinet, for our daily does of Obamacare reality. Turns out, they have no idea how much it will cost. After fudging the numbers in order to make the price tag seem horrible instead of devastating, they admit it was all a ruse.

It was obvious to those of us who studied the bill, but that leaves out most of Congress, so here we go--- another skyrocketing government program expenditure that does nothing but make our lives worse.

Tax increase, they name is Big McLargehuge.

Sebelius: We don’t know what ObamaCare costs will be

Think of this as a companion piece to the sudden recognition that massive government interventions cost more than they save. On Wednesday, Kathleen Sebelius appeared before the House Appropriations Committee to discuss the appropriations for high-risk pool subsidies that ObamaCare provides to the states. The bill appropriated $5 billion for this program, but as Sebelius tells the committee, that was just a spit-balling number. In reality, no one has the faintest clue how much money will actually get spent on this program, via Breitbart TV and Naked Emperor News:

CMS is the actuary for Medicare and Medicaid, which warned that the forecasting in ObamaCare was hopelessly optimistic, and this appears to be one of those areas in which they’ll be proven right more quickly than most.

But don’t worry — Congress knew exactly what they were doing when they passed the bill. Riiiiiiiiiiiight.

Obnoixous Obama

The lack of class and over abundance of arrogance from this guy gives me that sick stomach feeling i get from drinking movie popcorn oil straight from the bottle.

Its like Obama has never been told what a douche bag he is and walks around in this bubble of unreality where he is the sliced bread.

Only someone with zero self awareness could be doing such a horrible job, presiding of the collapse of a nation, be considered a fool by foreign enemies and a tool by foreign allies, unable to speak with someone writing it down for him first, yet have the gonads to make jokes at everyday citizens expense while looking down his nose at them.

This guy is a disgrace and removes the doubt every day.

Read all about his latest slap in your face over at Riehl World View and then get Hot Air's take.

Next time someone tells you how great Obama is give 'em a Gibb's head smack. They more then deserve it.

Friggin stupid heads drive me batty.

Obama mocks tea partiers: You should thank me for cutting taxes

Via Dan Riehl, this may well be the single most obnoxious soundbite he’s uttered since his immortal bitter/clinger bon mot during the campaign. Which, if I’m not mistaken, also occurred at a fundraiser. Funny, the thoughts that bubble up when he’s among friends.

President Barack Obama said Thursday he’s amused by the anti-tax tea party protests that have been taking place around Tax Day.

Obama told a fundraiser in Miami that he’s cut taxes, contrary to the claims of protesters.

“You would think they’d be saying thank you,” he said.

At that, many in the crowd at the Adrienne Arsht Center for the Performing Arts stood and yelled, “Thank you!”

Let’s see. For starters, he’s lying: He has raised some taxes, contrary to his campaign pledge two years ago. But more than that, he seems almost to be laughing at people for being concerned about deficits

Another VAT warning

Powerline has a letter which you must read. Its another warning about the VAT and since its yippy skippy tax day i figured there is no better time to spread the word and the warning against more taxes.

Dr. Allan Meltzer of Carnegie Mellon University sent a letter to John Boehner urging him and the Republicans to stand against any attempt to enact this evil tax.

Read and learn, read and learners.

The V.A.T. --- the taxing truth

When the Democrats present the Value Added Tax, they will dress it up in as many pleasant pretty bows and whistles as possible. Many promises will be made about how high it will go and how much it will effect the middle class.

Ever single one will be a lie.

Here is a good Wall Street Journal story about the VAT in Europe and the lessons we should learn from their experience. No matter what you are told, the implementation of a VAT in America will destroy the middle class as we know it FORever.

Happy Tax Day

Obama raises taxes on middle class

I cant even count the number of times i heard Obama promise not to raise taxes on the middle class. It was front and center in his campaign rhetoric.

Well, check off another promise made by the Obama campaign that is being broken by the Obama administration. If you voted for the guy because of anything he said during the campaign you have to be disappointed.

Im curious how much play this broken tax promise will get since the same exact circumstance was enough to derail George Bush Sr.'s reelection in 1992.

Congressional committee reports ObamaCare is a $3.9B tax hike on middle class

Barack Obama promised during his presidential campaign that he would cut taxes for the middle class.  Every time his big-spending agenda got challenged by Republicans as a deficit buster that would require vast, broad tax hikes to sustain, Obama insisted that his agenda would save money for the middle class by shifting the burden to the rich — and nowhere did he make that pitch harder than on health care reform.  Now the Joint Committee on Taxation says that ObamaCare will hit the middle class with $3.9 billion in higher taxes by 2019:

Consider this the Hope and Change analog to Bush 41’s notorious “Read my lips — no new taxes!” Of course, expiration dates on Obama promises are nothing new, but this one seems particularly cynical. It manages to hit the most vulnerable by denying tax deductions for medical care.

Taxes and you: No chance of success

In an evil genius move, the federal government has made doing your taxes a no win proposition. The tax code is impossible to understand, even for professionals, leaving you at the mercy of your government. Making laws in which you can not obey if you wanted to, gives the federal government an amount of power that would chill our founders fathers. Add the cost of taxes on your income, time, and stress level and its a frightening prospect come each April.

Watch this video to get a sense of some of the subtler costs of the tax code.

Video: The compliance costs of the tax code

As Americans rush to tax accountants and preparation firms this week to finalize their tax returns, it’s a good time to consider the costs of compliance. The Center for Freedom and Prosperity offers a new entry in its Econ 101 video series that details these costs, not just on paying third parties for preparation but the systemic cost to the economy each year. What are these costs?  Consider the 7.6 billion man-hours needed for federal tax compliance, which equates to 3.8 million full-time jobs.  Tax compliance is one of the largest industries in the US.

What has this administration done to correct this?  They will add thousands of more IRS employees to do to health care what they’ve already done to tax compliance.

A vested interested

Half the reason this country is up shizzle creek without a Yamaha In-Line 4 Stroke 150 hp Outboard Motor is because almost 50% of citizens pay no federal income tax. To them, anything that comes from the government is "free". So, for all intents and purposes, these people can vote themselves more money or services without it affecting their bottom line. Not Good.

There are two ways to stop politicians from using entitlements to buy votes and make those who receive entitlements actually appreciate them.

1st--- Every single person who earns a dollar in a given year pays something to the federal government. If you make 10 grand maybe you would only pay 5% or 500 bucks, but it would remind you that if you support "government" health care, your taxes will double or triple, in other words there is a price to pay for more government.

A true "fair share" would be everyone paying something.

2nd--- Once you are in a welfare program for a certain length of time, your ability to vote would be suspended until you are no longer receiving money from the government. That may seem unfair but how is it fair that people who pay no taxes get to vote to take more of my money. Its, "two wolves and a sheep voting on whats for dinner". It would motivate people to take care of themselves and help others in order to more actively effect the direction of the country in the way our founders wanted, not by being bought off as a entitlement group, and voting for whoever promises you the most "free" stuff.

Something must be done or as the percentage of people paying no taxes grows over 50%, the people in the cart will be too heavy for the people pushing the cart to push it any longer and BLAM.....you are living in Cuba or the Soviet Union.

Hey, they said i was wrong about Obama being a radical socialist too.

Prove me wrong.
