Only Repeal is acceptable.

A well crafted must read piece by Doc Zero at Hot Air, If Republicans want to ensure their status as a minority is made permanent all they have to do is wuss out on repealing Obamacare. Repeal is the only outcome that is acceptable to much of the country and will send those energized Americans into the arms of anyone willing to promise it......including a 3rd party. I truly believe that if the Republicans go soft on this issue, they will lose the opportunity to make dramatic gains in November's elections.

The Principle of Repeal

One way or another, ObamaCare won’t last far beyond the point where your kids go bankrupt trying to pay for it. The American entitlement state is the world’s tallest, shakiest house of cards. We can find the strength and self-respect to repeal this garbage now, or weep in shame and confusion when it implodes, after years of increasing poverty and decreasing public health. I encourage wobbly Republican politicians to take a long look at their preschool-age children, grandchildren, nephews, or nieces during the Easter holiday. Make peace with ObamaCare now, and you give life to a system that has already declared war on those kids
The early battle cry of “Repeal and Replace!” has become stuck in a few Republican throats. The thinking among “top Republicans” is that outright repeal of ObamaCare might be impossible, leading to frustration among an energized base that demands nothing less.

Paul Ryan's Op-ed

Paul Ryan has impressed me as of late. He took Obama apart during the health care "summit" and seems to have a set of core beliefs that i can get behind. He is young and seems to have the tools to be a leader of the Republican party in the future.

He has an OpEd in the Washington Post that is an excellent read. Is there any doubt the country would be better off with guys like this in charge?

Rep. Paul Ryan on what real health reform should look like

Today, the House Budget Committee is to mark up a "reconciliation" vehicle, initiating the greatest expansion in government and entitlement spending in a generation through a partisan process to push "health-care reform" across the finish line.

If this debate had actually been about health care, we could have worked together to get a grip on costs, make quality care more accessible, address exclusions for preexisting conditions and realign the incentives of insurance companies with those of patients and doctors. Yet this process -- including its embarrassing conclusion -- demonstrates that the debate has never been about health-care policy but, instead, paternalistic ideology.

Should the Democrats' health-care train wreck make it to the president's desk, it will be a pyrrhic victory, and its devastating consequences will take their toll on our health-care system, our budget and our economy.

Hat tip to Another Black Conservative for pointing me in the Op-ed's direction.
