I guess that describes Chrissy then because on June 14, 2002, Chris Matthews himself introduced a panel discussion about a letter signed by many prominent leftists condemning the Bush administration’s conduct of the war on terror. “Let’s go to the Reverend Al Sharpton,” Matthews said. “Reverend Sharpton, what do you make of this letter and this panoply of the left condemning the Bush regime?”

Good Riddance
I predicted 11 years ago that the Eagles would never win a Super Bowl while McNabb was their starting Quarterback....i was right. McNabb is now a Washington Redskin so i can cheer for the Eagles again.....after Favre, of course.
McNabb was the most overrated player of my generation. His stats seemed to come against crappy opponents while choking in the big games. Even the year he tripped down a flight of stairs and fell into the Super Bowl, he reminded us what kind of leader he was while puking on the field like a nervous 13 year old girl.
I know, i know, he did play in 5 NFC championship games and that Super Bowl but i seem to remember him underachieving on teams that could have one 3 or 4 championships. If Tom Brady is their QB they could have won 5 or 6. Instead they won ZERO....and i cant think of one he should have won. He wasnt robbed like Jim Kelly when Scott Norwood shanked a career defining field goal. He didnt get beat by Joe Montana or John Elway comebacks. He just wasnt a great player. A very good player, yes, but not great.
Im sure there are plenty of fans that think im nuts but hey, thats the beauty of sports opinions. I do wish him the best of luck and never had a problem with him personally. He always seemed like a stand up guy, but lets just say im not worried about him winning a Super Bowl and rubbing it in the Eagles ownership's faces.
Anyway, ive been waiting 11 years to say "good riddance", let the Kolb era begin.

This news is so awesomely bad/good it almost makes up for those soggy Bowls of Sadness on the KFC menu. Yesterday KFC announced they were ready to go nationwide on April 12 with the Double Down, a near-mythical sandwich that uses two slabs of fried chicken instead of bread. Of course, yesterday was April Fool’s Day, and the whole concept sounded too ridiculous to believe. So today King Chicken was forced to say yes, we’re serious, and repeat the announcement. The Double Down consists of the aforementioned two chunks of chicken, and nestled between them are several strips of bacon, some melted cheese, and something called “the Colonel’s secret sauce” (the less you know about this, the better). It clocks in at 540 calories, 32g of fat and 1380mg of sodium. Unless you’re some kind of hippie-vegan health nut and order the grilled version, with 460 calories, 23g of fat and 1430mg of sodium.

Happy Monday....thats my fun day.....i dont have to run day....
Anyway, lets start the week with some news that puts another shiv in the credibility of the main stream press. If you listen to the narrative they have been selling for the last year, you would think the Tea Party is a group of right wing extremists who are racist, bigoted, homophobes clinging to their guns and religion.
Turns out....like much of what the media reports these days....its just not true. According to a survey 4 in 10 Tea Partiers are Democrats or Independents. Almost half of the group consists of people who dont consider themselves Republicans.
I couldnt believe it either. Ive been beaten about the head and neck by the media for so long, i guess i was starting to believe their bias a little myself.
The truth always seems to back up our side, doesnt it?
Maybe thats why the Tea Party now beats Obama in an election. Thats right, anybody from the Tea Party is more popular than Obama.....bet you never would have guessed that.

Have a safe weekend
Happy Good Friday!
Its that time of the week when i trade in my laptop for a guitar and a beer. Things seem to slow down around here on weekends due to said guitar and beer, but ill try not to disappear....
Hunt down them eggs, eat some jellybeans (i LOVE jellybeans and they always bust out special awesome ones around Easter) and chocolate rabbits, and remember why we celebrate this holiday.....no, its not just for the candy.
Enjoy you weekend and come out and see me if you are roaming state college.

Its just so sad that Barack Obama, the most powerful man in the world, has to deal with talk radio hosts. How can he be expected to deal with such spirited opposition?
Pfffffft.......could his ego be ANY more fragile?
I cant believe a man who says things like this is surprised some of us dislike his methods and policies.
If i was President im sure there would be quite a contingent of left wing wackos calling for my defeat or worse, but i wouldnt cry about it.
It just makes him look weak and petty.
Anyone with an objective point of view can see this for what it is, whining.
I believe that Rush has beaten him at his own game and that bugs Obama.
All in all, it should be below a President to directly address citizen opposition. Politicians will always have opposition by design, deal with it. If you do a good job, it wont matter what someone says on a talk show.

U.S. Rep. Emanuel Cleaver has spent the time since the Washington DC Tea Party slowing walking back a claim that he was called a "n*gger" and spit on by protesters.
Originally, he boldly accused Tea Party activists of racism and assault by saliva dismissing any doubt the events had occurred.
Now, forced to back up his claims after multiple videos of Rep. Cleaver's contact with the protesters showed no such racism or spitting, Cleaver is backing away from the charges.
In other words.....this piece of human debris purposely lied about the incident in an attempt to slander the Tea Party movement for political gain.
Worse yet.....he is now claiming he never made the accusation.
Cleaver is now running away like the coward he is, not even able to admit he made a mistake.
A racism charge is serious business in today's day and age. It could end your career in certain circumstances, so for a Congressman to LIE, bold faced, about American citizens practicing their 1st amendment rights, in order to marginalize the entire movement, is more than dishonest.....it sickening and hateful.
Democrats have spent an entire year trying to delegitimize this group of Americans. A group who is just standing up for freedom against a growing and increasingly tyrannical government. To attempt to smear them with fictional accounts of racist and vulgar behavior just shines a spotlight on the tactics and lack of integrity that is now common in the Democratic party.
I could spend an entire post listing the racist things Democrat leaders have said and been ignored, but i find it much more interesting that the left must invent racism on the right to be disgusted by, while it has surrounded them on the left for 40 years.
